Theory & Musicianship
Music Theory and Musicianship are an integral part of learning a musical instrument and our teachers all incorporate these elements into their lessons from the very start.
However as students become more advanced it becomes increasingly important to develop knowledge and skills in music theory and musicianship to assist students to perform with sensitivity, understanding and confidence.
In addition, students who proceed to higher level examinations are also required to attain a minimum standard in theory and/or musicianship examinations.
We offer tuition in Music Theory and Musicianship from beginners to advanced levels
including preparation for VCE & AMEB examinations.
Catherine Cossey has many years experience in teaching music theory and musicianship for both VCE and AMEB examinations. She is excited and passionate about teaching and her fun and innovative approach ensures her students receive outstanding results in external examinations. Students discover that understanding how music works gives a deeper insight into musical interpretation and encourages them to explore new possibilities in their own performances and compositions.
Lessons take place in our home studio at Ainslie Park Avenue, Croydon.
